Mohsin bin Alawi Al-Hafeedh
Colonel Mohsin Al-Hafeedh was elected as a full-time member of the Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TRA) in the Sultanate of Oman by the Royal Decree No. 83/2007. He was previously a member of the Temporary Committee which ran TRA business since its establishment in 2002.
Before his current designation in TRA, Colonel Mohsin worked as the Director General of Information Technology in Royal Oman Police (ROP).
Colonel Mohsin graduated with a Degree in Law (LLB) from the UAE University in Al-Ain in 1984, after which he pursued his postgraduate studies where he received his MBA from Humberside University in the United Kingdom. He also attended several professional training courses at the Royal Jordanian Police College in Jordan, BarmsHill Police Staff College in the UK and the Police Officers Training Center in France.
Colonel Mohsin joined the Royal Oman Police in 1982 as an Officer in Charge of the Buraimi Police Station. Prior to that, he served in the Abu Dhabi Police force for ten years. In his career at the Royal Oman Police, Colonel Mohsin acted as Head of the Prosecution Office from 1986 to 1987 and Head of Academic Studies in ROPAN from 1984 to 1986. Colonel Mohsin served as Assistant Director General of Customs, Operations and Human Resources during the period from 1988 to 1998.
