Invitation to Bid for a Class-I Service License to Provide Managed Private Mobile Radio PMR Service in the Sultanate of Oman

         The Telecommunications Regulatory Authority ("TRA"), Sultanate of Oman, announces the availability of the Information Memorandum (IM) detailing the process for the award of a Class-I license for the Installation, Operation, Maintenance and Exploitation of a Managed Private Mobile Radio (PMR) in the Sultanate of Oman.
 
       The License will be granted based on beauty contest in which any professional company may participate. The applicant will be required to demonstrate in its application that it satisfies the qualification criteria in order to be considered for selection and award of the License. The applicant will be required to establish a legal entity eligible to hold the license if selected to do so.
 
Process for Registering and Purchasing the IM
 
Interested parties shall comply with the following procedures in order to obtain the IM document.
 
1. The interested party must pay the IM document price (OMR. 3,000), to be deposited into the TRA bank account, as per the following bank details:

2. The interested party has to send a request to register with the TRA after making the required payment and provide the payment evidence or attach the payment voucher/evidence by emailing it to: PMR@tra.gov.om
The following details of the applicant are required:
a. The company name
b. The deposited amount
c. The date of depositing the amount.
d. The purpose of the payment “PMR License”
e. Official contact details including official e-mail address.
 
3. Upon the actual receipt of payment in TRA’s Bank account, a soft copy of the IM Document will be sent as a PDF document through the e-mail registered with TRA.
 
4. If the interested party or his official representative wishes to receive a hard copy of the IM document, he may do so by collecting it from TRA premises during the TRA working hours.
 
5. The closing date for the availability of the IM is 8 August 2022.
 
6. The Bid Application, technical & financial, should be delivered no later than 15.00 hrs Muscat (11:00 GMT) on 9 October 2022 by Courier or by person to TRA address.

·         Any mistakes/errors in the provided details by the interested party shall be the sole responsibility of such interested party.
 
·         Payments for the IM document is non-refundable.
