Public Consultation on the Draft of the Regulation Organizing Radio Licenses

Introduction to consultation:

As part of the Authority's commitment to keeping pace with the requirements and developments of the telecommunications market in the Sultanate of Oman and in support of continuous development to meet the needs of the telecommunications sector, the Authority, with the assistance of a consultancy firm, has conducted a comprehensive review of the Regulation Organizing Registration and Utilization of the Frequencies and Radio Equipment and their Pricing, issued by Decision No. 133/2008. The objective of this review is to develop a new regulation for spectrum pricing that reflects the appropriate value of this limited national resource and includes rules and procedures for obtaining radio licenses.

Deadline for submitting:

Responses and feedback on the public consultation document may be submited by 30/06/2025. The Authority will review all responses, opinions, and views it receives; however, it is to be noted that the Authority is not obligated to adopt all the feedback it receives.
