The Telecommunications Regulatory Authority has launched the Legal Affairs System as part of its efforts to develop and modernize the legal workflow across the telecommunications and postal services sectors. The system aims to enhance procedural efficiency, strengthen transparency, and reinforce governance, while accelerating processes, reducing paper-based transactions, and improving the experience of beneficiaries and companies.

Among the key services provided by the Legal Affairs System is the automation of inspection procedures carried out by the Authority in the telecommunications and postal sectors. Inspection activities and enforcement actions are electronically documented, violations are recorded and tracked, and related decisions are issued through the system.

The Telecommunications Regulatory Authority has launched the Self-Declaration of Conformity service as part of the Type Approval System, within its ongoing efforts to enhance the framework for approving telecommunications equipment and to adopt modern regulatory tools that contribute to faster procedures and improved efficiency of services provided to beneficiaries.

The service accelerates the type approval process for telecommunications equipment by enabling applicants to submit an official declaration confirming that the devices comply with the approved technical and regulatory standards, without the need to attach prior technical test reports. This reduces the time required to complete approval procedures.

في ظل التطورات الرقمية المتسارعة أصبحت المنصات والتطبيقات الرقمية ركيزةً أساسةً في تنمية الاقتصاد المعرفي؛ عليه فقد أصدرت هيئة تنظيم الاتصالات قرارا بضوابط تطوير واختبار وتشغيل الأنظمة والمنصات الرقمية والتطبيقات في قطاع الاتصالات؛ بهدف توطين جميع عمليات تطوير واختبار وتشغيل واستضافة الأنظمة والمنصات الرقمية داخل سلطنة عمان.

وقد تضمّن القرار ضمان تطوير الأنظمة والمنصات الرقمية والتطبيقات واختبارها وتشغيلها في قطاع الاتصالات محليًا، وضمان استضافة الأنظمة والمنصات والتطبيقات والبيانات وجميع مكونات بيئة الإنتاج في مراكز بيانات محلية مصرح لها، كذلك التزامات المخاطبون بالضوابط في بيئات التطوير والاختبار والإنتاج، بالإضافة إلى تطبيق السياسات والممارسات والمعايير لأفضل الممارسات الدولية في مجال الأمن السيبراني في مراحل التطوير والاختبار والتشغيل.
