Public Consultation on regulation of Data Centers and Cloud Computing
Introduction
Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TRA) worked on preparing a draft regulation to regulate the provision of data center and cloud computing services in the Sultanate of Oman, in line with Oman’s 2040 vision to enhance competition and attract investments in this field.
Therefore, TRA would like to announce the release of a public consultation on Data Centers and Cloud Computing Regulation, and invites & urges all interested parties to participate and provide written comments and remarks on what was stated in the consultation document.
Project Objective
- Encourage the improvement of the quality of data centers and cloud services.
- Encourage the investment in local data centers and the cloud industry.
- Establish a clear regulatory basis for managing the potential security risks associated with the use of cloud services.
Submission Date
Kindly to send your responses regarding the consultation document not later than 31 December 2022..

Any comments provided in response to this Public Consultation Document should be provided in hard or soft copy (both in PDF and Word format) to the following addresses:
